Hello to all you Frenchspeaking people out there,

In the French part of this forum, there's a topic about the new X1. Olive tested it for us.... to be honest, that's about all I understand with my poor french.

I know I've asked this favour before, but could you write something about the new X1 in english?

Thanx a lot in advance!!

cheers,
Sam

Please find hereunder a small comment on X1 which I had the chance to have test yesterday

First impression: the board is very light and rather flexible. The nose is quite square and shape quite radical. Radius (general outline) is close to the 173F° which I like so much.

First turn, I am badly twicked, my feet are too close... respect strictly the 3-4 cm between the foot before and the back foot. A small stop to twick my bindings and bythe way freezing me the fingers and it set out again. The feelings are good, despite of the relative flexibility of the board, it appears rather physical. Even in extrem carving, the board is healthy. Two more runs and I take confidence. The board starts again well in fast sequences, but it is necessary to be committed.
It has tendency has to be a little oversteer... maybe because of the round tail.
Other default noted... when you go straight down... the board is hard to control... the board does not go straight... maybe because of the square nose.
In turn derapé-court, it is rather physical. Approximately, she does not like to slide. (but it is not the goal, anyway!)

Conclusion: healthy in carving, but oversteer board, does not like to be flat... Board can be a little flexible (risk to get old quickly). The dynamism is healthy even if it asks more than the 173F° in changing direction. Rather intended for people of means/good level.

Therefore, you will have understood it... I prefere the 173F°... but it is good board which has the merit to perpetrate the story of the skwal!!!

It is my opinion and I share it... so, good runs and CU soon!
