I'm trying to put together a help site for newbies in Japan, this site is in English for now.
I'd be glad to get some feedback from anyone without ADSL as I'm not sure how quickly it loads on dial up.

Many thanks :)

I haven't got ADSL but I use a cable modem, everything is very good looking, the music is well used (I find the bip sound a bit loud).

I think it would be better if the turning "level" text stops also in front of 2 and 3.

When I display a level, it jumps very quickly from one page to the next one, I'm not sure the slide show mode is adapted, because everyone takes a different time to appreciate a technical diagram. I'd rather see main page/next and previous buttons instead.

last point the load image (attached below), looks subliminal with the cable because it appears forth one tenth of second :
I'm not sure of the result, weither it is cool or not because some will try to know what it is, but some could look at it as a bug :)

that's all for the small remarks ;)

It's very nice to look at, the design is just perfect. Great job again james!

Thanks for the feedback :D :D

I'll try and add a stop and play button to the main movie.

subliminal- great idea we should try it on all our sites ;)
The image at the start is a preloader for people without ADSL but as the 1st page is quite small I may remove it.

I'll try and fix the level thing, thanks again
A+

Ok I've changed the interface a little, you can now move to the next frame with a button.

The menu suits me now! :D

I had a look at it on a friend's PC with a very sloooow conection, and there is a black screen between the time you click on a number and the time the lesson appears.

even with a slow link, the loading page only show up for a very short time, I think there is a setting probleme here ;)

Great! Thanks for that, I've put in a preloader for the 1st link so you should have something to look at while the rest loads in.

I'll try and fix up the other probs during the week, thanks again :D :D

Do many people have cable in France?

Thias made a powder board last year for soft boots only, I've translated the details into English and will post it on the ENGLISH forum. :D

I used to ride a lot with the hard plate boards but since this new board came out i've lost all interest in carving :D :D
It's started snowing here in Japan, here's a view from my window this morning

Image
