Hi guys, after trying skwaling (on my SK200 which I love dearly) I would like to buy another skwal. It would be great if it came with bindings, too. Something like Mpride X183 X-Race, Lagriffe (MR183, Monocarve?), Voelkl Monocarver (???), perhaps I could strech for a M-A-D Black Diamond, Kessler, Virus or an Oxess SX174. I am open to offers. I am 180cm tall, weigh 85kg, and I am moderately strong (I would say 'sporty' but not 'athletic').
I would like to be able to learn to perform extremecarving on it, so I think SCR should be around 10-14 metres, and ideally it should have a bit wider waist.
I live in Poland, EU, so shipping should not be a problem.

Re: Skwal wanted [EU]Hi sabestian,
We have no feedback on Kessler, Virus boards, for the rest, you list seems correct except perhaps for the Monocarver i think that is a bit old now. The choice depends on your weight, size and strenght :: Thias FC180, SK200, 173°F, RS176 carbone, FC165 ::

Re: Skwal wanted [EU]Thanks for your input. I edited the first post so that it contains all the information needed!
Re: Skwal wanted [EU]I guess that a Mpride X183 or a Lagriffe MR183 would fit your profile.
For other board (virus, oxess, etc.) I do not know enough them to advice one of these brands LAGRIFFE MR173 Carbon
ne vous demandez pas ce que l'AES peut faire pour VOUS, mais demandez vous ce que VOUS pouvez faire pour l'AES et le SKWAL...
Re: Skwal wanted [EU]Mpride 173, MR173 and Oxess 174 would be good too since they are stiff but they would be more pratical for narrow slopes

Re: Skwal wanted [EU]Thanks for the answers. Why nobody recomends RS176? I am not sure if a bit more 'recreational' skwal wouldn't be better for me. I am exhausted after 4 hours on SK200...
Re: Skwal wanted [EU]
In that way, you're right : RS 176 can be great ! That's a good allround board. If you're looking for something different, RAD makes nice boards for a different use. These boards are made for extrem carving on hard slopes but without engaging that much. not the same price but very nicely manufactured. Boards : R-A-D Diamond LTD 183 + Lagriffe RS176 + Thias 173°F + Lacroix Contest 180 / boots : Head Stratos Pro
Re: Skwal wanted [EU]You are right RAD boards and RS176 are better options if you are looking for something less physical but still very playfull and efficient.
If you find your SK200 to stiff, it will be the same with mpride boards and MR boards. :: Thias FC180, SK200, 173°F, RS176 carbone, FC165 ::

Re: Skwal wanted [EU]No, I don't think my SK200 is too stiff. In fact, I think it is quite soft compared to my alpine boards (F2 Speedster RS 173, Oxygen Proton GS 178). Perhaps even too soft? Too early to say. It may be due to it's age?
I am simply tiring quickly, it is because I get upto 10 days of skiing holiday a year, so not a lot of time to develop strength and skill. I think I am compensating for poor technique with power. It is hard to decide, at the moment I am thorn in between RS176 and MR173... Or I will wait and see what else shows up in the 'for sale' section...
Re: Skwal wanted [EU]The alternative for you will be the new Lagriffe "white ambiance 180", this skwal will be for sale on the ESA web shop soon.
You're not beginner and not an expert rider so the white ambiance is the solution. NOUS BOIRONS DU LAIT QUAND LES VACHES MANGERONT DU RAISIN...
Re: Skwal wanted [EU]Interesting! Any idea of an approximate price and technical data? I can wait...
Re: Skwal wanted [EU]
here the feelings after White ambiance tests (Sorry in french so you have to translate): viewtopic.php?f=5&t=3399 The price will be 499 € and available in the web shop in few days... NOUS BOIRONS DU LAIT QUAND LES VACHES MANGERONT DU RAISIN...
Re: Skwal wanted [EU]But from what I can find on the net it is intended for powder, isn't it?
