Wanted an easy beginner skwal board

Postby georgek » 09 Oct 2009 07:16

Dear fellows,

I am looking to buy a beginner skwal board, either the thias panther 168 with the 14.7 waist width, or the lacroix SK3000.
I am located in Athens, Greece.
Any suggestions?
Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,

George

Hi Gerogek,

Are you really looking for a 3 axis board ? for a begginer, I think a 173F or a RS176 is better. 3 axis are made for freeride... not the better way to begin !!

If you're interested by a RS176 (or RS166 if you're not that tall), just take a look there : http://shop.skwal.eu

Hope you'll find something great !

Dear Francois,

I am an expert skier and accomplished alpine snowboarder.
Do you think the lagriffe 176 will be oK?
I am 177cm tall, 85 kg.
I don't want a super narrow board; I think the exta width at the middle will help me with the transition from an alpine snowboard.
Please give me an opinion.
Thank you in advance.

Sincerely,

georgek

Georgek, if you are an expert skier with a good level in Alpin Snowbord it's true that the Rs 176 can be not sufisantly extreme for you.

The RS 176 is a board for beginner with medium flex and made for an allround riding.

If you want a racing board you can buy an m-pride Skwal (173 or 183) (see them on the m-pride web site)

Guys,

thank you very much for the help!
I will might go with the lagriffe 173 since it has a wider waist than the mpride.
I will need also skwalleur poles.
I am talking about the ones with the modified handgrip.
Can this handgrip be mounted on regular ski poles?
I am thinking of using the telescopic ski poles so I can carry them easily in a backpack.
Any suggestions?
Thank you in advance.

Sincerely,

georgek
